Buffalo Bill
His name is Pesho, actually. He is the only male in a herd of 21. Buffalo are not very common in Bulgaria but still there are people who breed them. Throughout the country there are about 7000 animals of the Indian breed Murah. A major problem is that there is not enough sperm to inseminate all the females. Buffalo farmers are trying to import sperm from Asia, but the EU won't allow them because, they say, Asian buffalo have a lot of diseases.
Pesho has become too heavy to procreate. The females can't stand his weigh. Whenever he tries to climb on top of them to copulate they kneel on the ground and refuse to do so, sais their keeper of the village of Killuzhevtsi, Elena.
