The village of Rozhen

Lots of things to take pictures of in the village of Rozhen. It has 30 houses, and no working sewage. The dirty water (excrements including) from all the houses runs into the brook. The problem is not fixed, because there is no one to take care of it.

The mayor is not a local man. He is the mayor of 3 villages: Rozhen, Liubovishte and Kashina. He wasn't elected, but he was appointed by the authorities in Sandanski.
According to the local people, the sewage system of the village was not built by the state company Vodosnabdiavane i Kanalizatsia (ViK), but following the orders of a Communist leader in 1984(?).

Therefore ViK don't want to take the responsibility to fix the problem. The municipal authorities are unwilling to pay for the repairs, for they claim ViK should do it.
